2010 Candidates
INDN's List is proud to announce our first round of endorsements for 2010. The candidates below will truly work for all of Indian Country, and we hope you will join us in supporting their efforts.
Rep. John McCoy - Washington | State House District 38
Jeff Jones - Oklahoma | District Attorney District 10
Rep. John McCoy - Washington | State House District 38
We've supported him since our founding in 2005, and we are so proud once again to endorse Washington State Rep. John McCoy, a member of the Tulalip Tribe, in seeking his fifth term in office.
During the last session, Rep. McCoy sponsored legislation that created a new state law expanding the authority of tribal police. They can now arrest anyone on the reservation, not just tribal members.
We want John to continue his work for the safety of American Indians in Indian Country, for education, and for health care, and we are happy to help him in his electoral efforts.
Jeff Jones - Oklahoma | District Attorney District 10
INDN's List is proud to endorse Jeff S. Jones, a member of the Osage Nation, for District Attorney of Osage and Pawnee Counties of Oklahoma. Jones successfully completed the candidate training at our 2007 INDN Campaign Camp on the Morongo Reservation, where he impressed all of the trainers with his passion, talents, drive and ability to communicate his message.
Jeff is committed to enforcing the law, and respecting the people of Osage and Pawnee counties while building on the strengths of the District Attorney’s office. Jeff has prosecuted drug dealers, child abusers, murderers and rapists. His experience and dedication distinguishes him from his Republican opponent.
