Congratulations, Patrick!  Representative Patrick Goggles won his reelection bid with 57.85% of the vote.

Representative Patrick Goggles, an enrolled member of the Northern Arapaho Nation, is running for re-election to House District 33 in Wyoming. Representative Goggles is the only enrolled tribal member in the Wyoming legislature. He was one of our endorsed candidates in 2006, and INDN’s List is proud to support him again!

Representative Goggles’ career of community service has brought him face to face with the challenges facing children and families all across Wyoming.  He has worked as a counselor and mentor for educational opportunity, as an administrator for the Northern Arapaho Business Council, as the chairman of the Fremont County school board, and as the executive director of the Tribe’s Boys & Girls Club and now of the Northern Arapaho Tribal Housing. From involvement in diverse areas such as business development, housing, nutrition, and transportation, Representative Goggles has already spent a lifetime building a better community in his state.

Soon after taking office in the Wyoming State House, Representative Goggles proved to be a capable voice for tribes and provided leadership on issues such as education, substance abuse, and mental health. Also, during his first session, Representative Goggles successfully sponsored legislation to protect the voting rights of tribal members and ensured adequate funding for majority-Indian school districts. He serves on committees on education and school facilities, mental health, tribal relations, and during his first session was assigned to chair the Committee of the Whole.

State of the Race:
After running unopposed in the primary race for his party’s nomination, Rep. Goggles will face Republican Joe Malek in the general election. INDN’s List is proud to support his race and hopes you will join us in helping Representative Goggles win in the general election!
