2007 Campaign Camp participant Maya Torralba honors the INDNs List community by being selected as a 2008 Young People For fellow at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma. The Young People For is a leadership initiative investing in the next generation of leaders and building a long-term national network for young progressives. Maya’s commitment to community esteem and the power of traditions led her to the Young People For organization. She is the founder of the Community Esteem Project in Anadarko, Oklahoma. Maya thanks INDN’s List Endorsed Candidate Kevin Killer for inspiring her to reach for this prestigious fellowship.
