Reba Redelman

Reba Redelman  joined INDN’s List as an intern in February 2008. She was born and raised in rural southern Indiana. An inveterate country girl, you will rarely see her in anything but jeans and cowboy boots. And she always carries a pair of work gloves – just in case.

Reba moved to Oklahoma to attend the University of Tulsa College of Law where she is earning her J.D. with a specialized certificate in Native American law.  Reba hopes to graduate in May 2010 and then go on to complete an LL.M. in Indigenous legal studies with a focus on Indigenous intellectual property.

Before moving to Oklahoma, Reba lived in Madison, Wisconsin for a number of years working first as a collective manager for the historic Mifflin Street Community Food Cooperative and then as an intellectual property paralegal for the U.S. Forest Service. She earned a B.S. in Biology from Indiana University, a post-baccalaureate paralegal certificate from Madison Area Technical College, and she is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office as a Patent Agent.

In her free time, Reba enjoys horseback riding, metal-working, sewing, beadwork and other adornment arts, and country-western dancing.
