Congratulations, Scott!  Clinton Scott Walton won his bid for Rogers County Sheriff with 53.65% of the vote.

Officer Clinton Scott Walton is running for Rogers County Sheriff. Officer Walton is an enrolled member of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma.  Walton’s twenty-six years of law enforcement experience stands out against his lesser qualified opponents.

Walton is police officer with the Tulsa Police Department (TPD) where in addition to his patrol duties he volunteered to serve his community on the TPD Honor Guard.  Walton is a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 93, and also served as the Coordinator for the  Crimestopper Program.  The Crimestopper Program was recognized as one of the most successful programs in the nation touting a 77% arrest rate.

Walton’s lifelong commitment to public service, his dedication to protecting the citizens of Rogers County from crime, and his passion for people are attributes that INDN’s List admires and respects.

State of the Race:

Officer Walton is currently running for Rogers County Sheriff, an open seat, as the only Democrat in the race.  After the July 29 Republican primary, we will know which Republican Officer Walton will face.  The current Rogers County Sheriff, Jerry Prather, is retiring and has endorsed Walton to succeed him.  Cherokee Nation Councilwoman for Rogers County, Cara Cowan Watts, is also enthusiastically supporting Officer Walton.  INDN’s List is proud to support his race and hope you will join us in helping him win the general election!

Our relationship with Officer Walton dates back more than two years when he attended one of our mini campaign camps, and we are pleased and honored to enthusiastically endorse his campaign to be the next Sheriff of Rogers County!
