GOGGLES WINS

Representative W. Patrick Goggles, a member of the Northern Arapaho Tribe, the executive director of Northern Arapaho Tribal Housing, and the only American Indian in the Wyoming legislature, is a lifelong advocate for children, education, and tribes.

A Biography of Service

Representative Goggles’s biography is a remarkable trail of service to tribe, community, family, and children. He has worked as a counselor and mentor for educational opportunity, as an administrator for the Northern Arapaho Business Council, as the chairman of the Fremont County school board, and as the executive director of the tribe’s Boys & Girls Club and now of Northern Arapaho Tribal Housing. His career of community service has brought Rep. Goggles into intimate contact with the challenges facing children and families all across Wyoming. From business development to housing to nutrition and transportation, Goggles has already spent a lifetime building a better community in a better state.

Successful Statesman

In the short time he has served in the House of Representatives, Rep. Goggles has proven a capable voice for tribes and a respected leader on education, substance abuse, and mental health. During his first session he successfully sponsored legislation to protect the voting rights of tribal members and ensured adequate funding for majority-Indian school districts. He serves on committees on education and school facilities, mental health, tribal relations, and during his first session was assigned to chair the Committee of the Whole.

The Situation
After running unopposed in the primary race for his party’s nomination, Rep. Goggles will face a capable opponent in Republican Joe Malek in the general election. We need your support to ensure that a strong voice for Indians and a promising leader stays in the Wyoming assembly.
