 &lt;p&gt;Maya Torralba is an enrolled member of the Kiowa Tribe and resident of Anadarko.&amp;nbsp; She completed the candidate training at the 2007 INDN Campaign Camp on the Morongo Reservation.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;In 2008, Maya founded the Anadarko Community Esteem Project to empower the teenage girls of Anadarko and increase youth involvement with both Native culture and community awareness.&amp;nbsp; She is also one of the co-hosts of the KACO-FM Saturday morning program &amp;ldquo;Indians for Indians.&amp;rdquo;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Currently Maya Torralba is challenging an incumbent Republican in House District 56 in Oklahoma.&lt;/p&gt;
